Tom Brady and Homer Simpson

On Super Bowl Sunday can we expect Tom Brady and the Patriots to stay perfect and make NFL history?

“This could be the biggest-bet game ever,” predicts Chuck Esposito, assistant vice president of race and sports book operations at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The New England Patriots are favored by 12 points over the New York Giants, but something to consider is that the Pats have failed to cover the point spread in two playoff games. Eli Manning and the Giants, on the other hand, managed to beat the spread in three playoff games.

So what are some of the online sports books saying?

“We expect that Super Bowl 42 in Arizona will be the most bet Super Bowl of all time,” stated Point-Spreads.com Publisher Thomas Jensen. “New York has a strong base of gamblers rooting for the Giants and all those New England fans will not miss a chance to bet on their Patriots going 19-0. We are urging our readers to get their bets in early this year.”

And over at Bodoglife.com they’re suggesting you keep an eye on Tom Brady and his new boot (one seems larger than the other and looks suspiciously like a cast) and some of the other Super Bowl prop bets that are being offered (such as will Eli Manning’s big bro Peyton show up?).
